The onsen's outdoor tub offered breathtaking views. soaking in the hot spring while listening to nature felt rejuvenating. The dinner presented in our room was a feast for the senses, and learning the dining etiquette was a unique experience.

Our Japanese-style room had a lovely view, and the tatami flooring added authentic charm. However, there were a few downsides. The indoor onsen could use some maintenance, as it felt a bit dated. The heavy presence of black mold in the toilet area was concerning, creating an unpleasant smell that drifted into the room. Also, the language barrier with the staff sometimes made communication difficult. Despite these issues, the warm hospitality and unique traditional experience made our stay memorable.

shirayunoyado yamadaya hakone gora is a beautiful spot with stunning mountain views. it’s very close to sounsan station where the cable car starts, which made exploring super easy. the in-room dining experience for both dinner and breakfast was amazing, with fresh, seasonal food that was beautifully presented. the onsen areas were also lovely, providing a perfect relaxation spot.

The staff were incredible, they went above and beyond, greeting us like family as we stepped in. Dinner was extraordinary, number upon number of delightful traditional dishes brought right to our room, it felt like a feast, really.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable for what it offers.
